In our conversations with others, we
present our ideas in a logical order. This way, we make sense to our
listeners. Typically, we relate events in the order they occurred, so
our listeners don't become confused as they follow our ideas.
In
writing, the pattern we present our ideas in is called organization.
Writers need to know about organizational patterns because readers
expect what they read to make sense logically.
The most common way to organize writing is called chronological order. Chronological order is the order in which
the events occurred, from first to last.This type of organization is especially effective if you are describing a
process, relaying a series of actions, or telling a story.
This week you must write a paragraph (between 5-10 sentences) in chronological order. You may choose from the following topics:
1. Two people met, fell in love, and got married
2. A young person discovered a particular sport, practiced/played it throughout their life and now plays professionally
3. The weather change from January to July
4. The first day of 7th grade
5. Summarizing the plot of your favorite movie or book.
6. Your morning routine to get ready for school
Your post is due no later than Friday by 5pm.

"Beep Beep Beep" my alarm clock screams at exactly 6:30 A.M. I get up still a little drowsy, hoping I could sleep in. I roll out of bed with a little moan, I pick out my clothes and get dressed. I rush down stairs in a hurry and run into the bathroom. I get my pink toothbrush and put blue minty tooth paste on my brush, I brush my teeth. Then I brush my messy hair and get all the knots out. I pick up my mini leopard locker I got for Christmas, I open it and I pick out my mascara, eyeliner, and a light brown eye shadow. First, I put on my mascara (Only three stokes), then eye liner, I make sure to do the best I can, last but not least the eye shadow. I run into the living room and grab my bag, making sure all homework is done. I hop in my moms van, to go pick up my friend for school. We rush off to school, and that is my morning routine when I have school.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, the the main character a farmer boy named Eargon finds a blue stone in the woods. Next, the blue stone hatches into a dragon. After that, strange monsters burn down his house and kill his uncle. Then Earagon runs off with the local storyteller. They then go to a sea fairing city and get information. Later, the group get attacked by monsters and, Earagon learns that he can use magic. Several weeks later the storyteller named Brom dies from an injury. Right after that, Earagon meets a young man who helps him. Next the too of them run to a rebel camp with an elf they picked up along the way. Once, they reached the camp they are welcomed in. Finally, Earagon and the rebels fight off monsters attacking their camp. During this Earagon killed an evil spirit named Durza. That was the end of the book.
First of all,the main character is an avid kung-fu fan named Jason Tripitikas.He goes to a store to buy some kung-fu movies,when he stares into an open door that leads to the back room he sees a golden staff and tries to go and grab it. At about that time these 4 bullies who always try to beat him up all the time. Right after that he runs into the back room,grabs the golden staff,runs up the stairs to the roof,when he gets there he sees the bullies followed him to the roof and cornered him,then all of a sudden he falls off the ledge and travels back in time.When he travels back in time he runs into a man who tells jason the story of ‘The Monkey King and the kings magical golden staff.Then the man tells Jason how only the monkey king can defeat ‘The Evil Jade Emperor’ and how the emperor wants to take over the world.Then as Jason travels with the man to the Monkey Kings final resting place to free the Monkey king from his stone burial. On the way Jason meets another man who travels with them and later tells Jason they’re both kung-fu masters and teach Jason the art of kung-fu so he can free the monkey king.Then about halfway to the temple the group runs into a girl who wants revenge on the Jade Emperor for killing her village and her mother,so she travels with the guys.When they get to the building where the Monkey King is trapped in stone,they meet the Jade Emperor they have a gigantic super important kung-fu battle.Lastly,the girl gives Jason a dart and Jason stabs the Jade Emperor and kills him,thats when Jason goes back to the real world he gets the bullies to stop bullying him.
ReplyDeleteFirst, in January the weather is very cold. You step outside and feel the bitter cold air touch your skin. Then, snow starts to fall and a blanket of fluffy snow covers everything. Next, the temperature begins to rise and the snow starts to melt. Now, you can start to hear the chirping of birds and feel the temperature still rising. Lastly, the flowers start to grow and the air is refreshingly warm. It's finally June.

insert it into my bag along with my school supplies, then walk out the door.
First Micheal Jordans story started in his yard where he played basketball all the time.He the practices for years.Then he starts getting better and gets recognized by many people across the country.Next thing he knows he is playing in the nba as the leagues best player.Micheal finally retires as one of the best players ever.Now he lives a happy life and is still known as a hero in basketball.
ReplyDelete"Carli time to get ready for school" I hear being shouted from downstairs. I stuff my face in my pillow and pretend it didn't happen but then once again I hear "Carli wake up". I roll out of bed moaning and groaning and do a silly little cat like stretch then go and do my hair along with my makeup. Next I spend half my morning picking out my outfit and getting dressed like every girl does. I make my way down the stairs and almost fall down every time. I don't normally have breakfast so I grab my purple toothbrush with my sparkling fresh toothpaste and brush my teeth. I use my minty mouth wash and swoosh it around a little and spit it out. Then when I have sometime I go on my phone for a little then grab my book bag and out the door I go. Walking to the car I need to be careful because it is almost all ice and trust me it hurts when you fall down. Then I hop in the car and off to school I go.
ReplyDeleteOn the first day of 7th grade I drove to O'maley school after a great summer break. I didn't really want to be back. All the students are put in the cafeteria. Then they call out all the homerooms for beaut port. Next, I get to my homeroom 302. I see all the people in my homeroom and a few of my friends are in it. Then the power goes out for a while and we just sit there listening to our homeroom teacher explain what is going to happen. Lastly, the power comes on and classes are shortened. That means we only briefly meet our other teachers. That was what the first day of 7th grade was like.
ReplyDeleteFirst, the temperature in January drops and becomes very chilly outside. Next, all the flowers and grass outside begins to die. After that light fluffy snow begins to fall and cover the land like a white blanket. Once it stops snowing some kids go skiing, snowboarding or sledding but most people stay inside. Then the temperature begins to rise above freezing level and the snow starts to melt. Next, all the trees and flowers then begin to grow again and get there leaves back. Finally, it's July and everyone begins to go outside and enjoy the weather again.

ReplyDeleteFirst, I wake up once my alarm clock goes off loudly and obnoxiously. Next, I get out of bed sluggishly and get washed up for a whole, new day. Then, I have to choose my outfit that I am going to wear to school. Once I have chosen my outfit, I go downstairs to blow dry and straighten my hair. After that, I get my sparkly makeup bag and put my makeup on to complete my look. Before I head out, I brush my teeth so they are sparkling white. Finally, I get my school stuff ready to go and head out the door for a fresh start.
First, I wake up and go down stairs. Next, I eat a poptart and have some milk for breakfast while whatching tv. Following that, I go up stairs and and take a shower. Then, I go up stairs and take a shower. After that, I get out and dry off. Now, I put clothes on. Once doing that I go back into the bathroom to brush my teeth. Then I go down stairs to get my shoes and coat on. After that I go into my garage get into the car and go to school.
ReplyDeleteFirst, in January you step outside to feel the cold air. Sometimes there is even snow. You can even go sledding in the snow. As it becomes March the air is still cold, but it is getting warmer and the snow is starting to melt. Now it has become spring. The flowers are starting to grow and the birds are chirping in the morning. You no longer feel the cold air its just cool breezes. When it becomes June there may be some cool breezes but it is mostly hot all the time. When it is July it is still summer and you can go to the beach and swim. You also have no school in July. From January to July there are three different seasons , and the weather changes from cold to hot.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I wake up to the sound of my seriously annoying alarm clock. Secondly, I take a shower and put my cloths for school. After that, I hurry down stairs to eat breakfast and pack my bag. Then I brush my teeth do my face. Lastly I make my self a sandwich stuff it in my bag and hurry to school.
